Answers to Your Questions

Is Oriana Academy similar to an apprenticeship?

Oriana Academy is a state-licensed tattoo and body piercing school where professional artists lead structured courses. Unlike traditional apprenticeships, which can be unstructured and lengthy, our academy offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip you with all necessary skills in a focused timeframe, ensuring you're ready to start your professional journey upon graduation.

What are the enrollment requirements for Oriana Academy?

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, hold a high school diploma or GED, or pass a Wonderlic test, and have proficiency in English. While not mandatory, a fundamental understanding of drawing and a passion for art are highly recommended.

Will I receive a license upon completing the course?

Yes, graduates are fully licensed in Florida to begin careers in tattooing and/or body piercing. Out-of-state students should verify licensure requirements with their local authorities. We provide a transcript of accredited hours and a completion certificate to support your licensing process.

What job prospects can I expect after graduation?

The tattoo industry's rapid growth offers numerous opportunities for our graduates. While we can't guarantee employment, we provide job leads and connections to studios nationwide through our extensive network.

Will I practice on real clients during my training?

Absolutely! Our curriculum includes hands-on experience with real clients, under expert supervision, allowing you to build a substantial portfolio and refine your skills on actual skin, not just practice materials.

What are my career options after getting licensed?

Licensed graduates have various paths, including working as independent contractors in studios, renting booth space, or even venturing into medical tattooing. We also offer guidance for those considering opening their own studios, ensuring a broad spectrum of opportunities in the tattoo industry.
